The web page of the ABPress based in Oxford and Sibiu, soon open for business: muses and misspells on its books. E. M. Delafield’s pastiche of her own experience working in the Home Front in a munitions factory during the First World War. It is an early novel, published in 1918, twelve years before The Diary of A Provincial Lady, the book that cemented her reputation as a novelist of wit and humorous, at times scandalous, observation.
